A New EB-5 Law? – Martin Lawler
A New EB-5 Law?
The EB-5 Regional Center statute will expire on September 30th of this year. A member of Congress has released a new EB-5 bill (proposed law). This bill is similar to a proposal that did not pass last fall. The current EB-5 law is expected to be continued to December. Later in the year this new bill or a different version, will be considered by Congress. It is probably best to invest at this time, as the minimum investment amount will most likely be increased to $800,000 from the current minimum of $500,000 in a targeted employment area.
