Martin J. Lawler EB-5 Extension by

Congress is considering extending the current EB-5 law as it relates to Regional Centers and investments in their projects.
A new proposed law (called a “Bill”) was just released. It will, if passed and becomes law would raise the minimum investment amount to $800,000.
It is anticipated the current law will be extended to mid-December when this new proposed bill or a similar bill may be voted upon.
At this point, it is too early to tell what a new law will provide. But either Congress or the USCIS by a new rule will raise the investment amount.
